Research from Cornell University revealed that children preference for variety is different than adults. Children preferred at least 7 components and 6 colors on their plate in comparison to adults who preferred 3 colors and 3 components on their plate. Children also preferred the entree to be positioned in the lower segment of the plate with some design or pattern to it, while adults prefer entrees to be located in the center of their plate.
